Services for Alva F. Clemens were held Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Defiance Christian Church with Minister Don Hatfield and Pastor Bill Mesaeh Jr. officiating. Pianist was Ruth Oyer. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Randy Caldwell, Andrew Caldwell, Pete Beardsley, Mathew Fosnaugh, Michael Fosnaugh, David Ater, J.J. Erickson, Drew Klausing, Joshua Thompson and Kyle Shong. Handling arrangements was Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home.
