Bonnie M. Bailey, 90, of Defiance, passed away on January 9, 2013, at the Laurels of Defiance, in Defiance, Ohio.

She was born on January 21, 1922, to John and Louise (Bohlke) Anderson in Defiance, Ohio. She graduated from Defiance High School in 1939. Bonnie worked at Diehl Inc. for 20 years, retiring in 1989. On June 19, 1941, she married Don M. Bailey at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, Ohio. Bonnie and Don lived in Defiance.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Martha (Larry) Hardy of Adrian, Mich., Mary (Ronnie) Pinckley of Bryan, Ohio, Kathleen (David) Folk of Defiance, Ohio, Marvin (Donna) Bailey of Defiance, Ohio, Rosalie (Terry) Shinabery of Defiance, Ohio, and Eloise Bailey of Defiance, Ohio; grandchildren, Renee Tressler, Jennifer (Duane) Doyle, Brian (Heather) Hardy, Heidi (Ted) Bender, Cindy Wolph, Maryann Mitchell, Michelle (Jeff) McIntyre, Kim (Kevin) Oxender, Amy (Scott) VanVlerah, Lori Friesner, Robin (Randy) Bowen, Dawn (Greg) Bour, Carrie (Duane) Romines, Joel (Lisa) Bailey, Nathan (Jill) Bailey, Chris (Marci) Shinabery, Heather (Terry) Brown, Chad (Jackie) Shinabery and Sarah (Edward) Keating; 48 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don M. Bailey; brothers, Paul Anderson and John "Dale" Anderson; sister, Pauline Troyer; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 3:30-8 p.m. at the Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home Inc., Defiance, Ohio. Visitation will be held on today, January 13, 2013, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Free Christian Church of God, Continental, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. James Fry and Rev. Sharon Fox officiating. Burial will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens.
