Helen 'Joan' Llewellyn

CONTINENTAL -- Helen J. "Joan" Llewellyn, 72, of Continental, died at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born August 15, 1940, in Defiance, to the late Elias and Mary Evelyn (Caldwell) Etter. On October 8, 1960, she married Kerry Llewellyn, who survives in Continental.

Helen is survived by a son, Kerry (Cindy) Llewellyn Jr. of Continental; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Ed (Apache) Etter of Oakwood; and two sisters, Joyce (Dennis) Stoller of Defiance and Diana McClure of Continental.

Preceding her in death was a son, Johnny Llewellyn.

Helen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Continental American Legion Auxiliary where she was an officer for many years.

The funeral service will be at noon Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Father Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will take place in Monroe Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and again for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be an American Legion Ladies Auxiliary service Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
