ANTWERP -- Dale Bowers, 77, of Antwerp, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at his residence.

Dale was born in Defiance, Ohio, on September 28, 1935, a son of the late Mildred (Rittenhouse) and Joseph Bowers. He worked at BF Goodrich and General Motors. Dale was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, where he served as a eucharistic minister and was an intricate part of the Holy Name Society. On March 24, 1956, he married Jane Houck.

Dale will be sadly missed by his wife, Jane; son, Doug (Marianne) of Angola; daughter, Beth (Jim) Coughlin of Antwerp; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Marilyn Skees and Suzanne Moser.

Viewing is Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-7:30 p.m., with a Catholic vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, where viewing is also Wednesday from 9-9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Antwerp, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, with Rev G. Allan Fillman officiating. He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
