NAPOLEON -- Harold W. Delventhal, age 89, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away Thursday afternoon at the Henry County Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1923, in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Frederick and Catherine (Furhop) Delventhal. On November 20, 1948, he married Mary V. Hinderer and she preceded him in death on June 3, 1995.
Harold was the owner and operator of the Standard Plumbing and Heating Co. of Napoleon. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Napoleon. He was a WW II Army Flight Officer veteran and a member of the AMVETS Post 1313.
Surviving are four sons, Gary (Dianna) Delventhal of Hamler, Ohio, Rex (Janet) Delventhal of Strongsville, Ohio, Dean (Dawn) Delventhal of Apex, North Carolina, and Neal (Anita) Delventhal, Lake Orion, Michigan; two daughters, Karen Delventhal of Alexandria, Virginia, and Diane Delventhal, Toledo, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Kathy and Dawn Delventhal; two brothers, Norman and Herman Delventhal; and two sisters, Emma Haase and Lola McColley.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, with Rev. James Castello officiating. Interment will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the joint veterans posts of Napoleon. Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 11 a.m. up to the time of the service.
