NAPOLEON -- Larry J. Durham, 75, of Napoleon, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2012, at his residence.

He was born May 9, 1937, in Gerald, Ohio, to the late Willis and Marie (VonDeylen) Durham. On June 14, 1959, he married Terry (McCone) Durham in the Bradner United Methodist Church.

Larry graduated from Ridgeville High School in 1955. He then went to work at Snyder's Chevrolet and Oldsmobile in Napoleon. In 1977, Larry started his own business, Durham's Auto Service, until he retired in 2000 and sold his business to his son, Ricky. He played softball and dartball for St. Paul Lutheran Church, was a basketball referee for the city league, and bowled. He loved his family, spending time with his grandsons, camping, woodworking, and his puppy, Suzi. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon.

He is survived by his wife, Terry; son, Kevin (Kelly) Durham of Defiance; daughter-in-law, Lynn Durham of Napoleon; son-in-law, Roger Weirich of Deshler; and grandsons, Joshua Durham, Jeremy (Amanda) Durham and Micah Weirich; brother, Roger (Angie) Durham of Defiance; and sister-in-law, Leona Durham of Liberty Center.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Durham; daughter, Dawn Weirich; brother, Bill Durham; and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, with Rev. Peter Marcis and Rev. John Holyer officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon.
