PAULDING -- Jean E. Stuart died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center, Defiance, Ohio.

She was born January 17, 1927, in Paulding, Ohio, the daughter of John C. and Nettie L. (Ankney) Deisler. She retired from Farm Credit Services in 1989 after 23 years and was previously employed as secretary for the principal of the Paulding High School. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Katherine Lutheran Circle.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Cindy) Stuart of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Thomas (Kelli) Leo, Ind.; two daughters, Janet (David) Penn, Naperville, Ill., and Connie (Bob) Wilson, Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Ethel (Clark) Jewell, Paulding; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Deisler, a sister, Janet Flint; a grandson, Matthew Wilson; and stepfather, Clyde Thompson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
