NAPOLEON -- Elmer E. Conklin, Sr., 70, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 22, 1942, in Richfield Township to the late Horton and Elsie (Wallace) Conklin. On December 21, 1962, he married Loretta (Elling) Conklin. Elmer worked construction at Speikers and S.E. Johnson for 32 years and retired in 1999. He was also a lifelong farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; sons, Elmer (Carla) Conklin, Jr., Tom (Tina) Conklin and Jeff (Traci) Conklin, all of Napoleon; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one step great-grandchild and three great-grandchildren on the way; a brother, John H. Conklin of Stryker; and sisters, Bernita (Harold) Grime of Napoleon and Connie Stiriz of Wauseon.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy; daughter-in-law, Tammy; and brothers, William and Horton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon. The family requests casual attire.
