HAMLER -- Lois J. Bremer, 65, of Hamler, Ohio, died Friday evening, October 19, 2012 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler, Ohio.
She was born June 25, 1947, in McComb, Ohio, to the late Floyd and Caroline (Ludman) Rothenberger. On September 2, 1967, she married James A. Bremer at First Lutheran Church, Leipsic, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2010.
Lois was a 1965 graduate of Leipsic High School. She was a homemaker and previously worked at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Deshler. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Deshler, and former member of Warren L. McIntyre American Legion Post 262 Auxiliary, Hamler.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Bremer, Hamler; grandsons, Austin and Kaleb; sister, Mary (Mikel) Welsh, Lancaster, Ohio; brothers, Gary (Jeanie) Rothenberger of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Charles (Carol) Rothenberger, Covington, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Sue Ann Thomas, Deshler; mother-in-law, Evelyn Bremer, Deshler; sister-in-law, Judith (Michael) Benner, McComb; brothers-in-law, Raymond Bremer of Deshler, and Frank (Marilyn) Bremer, Malinta, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Bremer; and father-in-law, Alfred "Slim" Bremer.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, with Pastor Thomas Smuda officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
