WAUSEON -- Dorothy Henrietta Ruetz, 94, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the Lutheran Home of Napoleon, Ohio.
She was born to Herman and Emma (Dehnbostel) Ruetz on August 5, 1918, in Fulton County. Dorothy was a life-long beautician who owned her own business. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, where she was active in the choir and loved to read to small children at the Lutheran School. She was also a member of the Ladies' Aid and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Dorothy enjoyed walking and quilting.
Dorothy is survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mildred (Earl) Goff, William (Ruby) Ruetz, Norman (Lillian) Ruetz, Leona (Elmer) Bunsold, Harold (Jean) Ruetz and Helen (Wilbert) Krieger; and four nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 22, 2012, from 3-8 p.m. in the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, 830 N. Scott St., Napoleon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at St. John Lutheran Church, 16035 County Road U, Napoleon, at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Stephen Niermann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
