NAPOLEON -- Donna Jean Nagel, 72, of Napoleon, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee.
She was born February 17, 1940, in Napoleon, to the late Leroy Nagel and Virginia (Ward) Nagel, who survives in Napoleon. Donna was a dog groomer in Napoleon for 35 plus years. She was still enjoying grooming as often as she could and loved every minute of grooming and caring for animals. She was an avid animal lover, big or small -- she loved them all! She was also an advocate for the humane society. Donna was a dedicated member of Christ United Methodist Church in Napoleon, where she was a member of various church committees.
She is survived by her loving son, Robb Nagel, and her mother, Virginia Nagel, both of Napoleon; her best friend and beloved dog, Mandy; aunts; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and an infant brother, Robert.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, at Christ United Methodist Church in Napoleon, with Pastor Russell Schaeffer officiating. A lunch will be held immediately following services. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be at Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
