CONTINENTAL -- Donald R. Corkwell, Jr., 72, formerly of Continental, died at 9:02 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 30, 1940, in Continental, to the late Donald Sr. and Edna (Forney) Corkwell. Donald is survived by two sons, Robert and Ronald Corkwell; one daughter, Holly Corkwell; a brother, Larry (Betty) Corkwell of Continental; and two sisters, Mary (John) Grubb of Paulding and Darlene Whitaker of New Haven.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Glass; and a brother-in-law, James Whitaker.
Donald had worked at General Motors in Defiance. He was an Army veteran.
A funeral service will begin 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Pastor Jerald Rayl officiating. Military rites by Continental American Legion will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Monroe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
