Nance L. Zimmerman, 78, of Defiance, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born in Defiance on February 24, 1934, the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Keller) Killion. Nance married John Zimmerman on Feb. 23, 1974, and he survives. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Catholic Church, a member of the rosary and altar society and the Trees of Life P. Buckley Moss Society. She enjoyed crafting, painting and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She had worked as a secretary at Defiance Precision Products for 44 years and was a 1952 graduate of Defiance High School.

Besides her loving husband, John, of 38 years, surviving is a sister, Lucille Kretz of Perrysburg, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Killion; and a sister, D'Nelle Shingledecker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
