Mary Alice Seibenick

Mary Alice Seibenick passed away on October 7, 2012, at the Kingsbury House in Defiance.

She was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Lakeside, Ohio, the daughter of Caro and Mary Helen Biro. She graduated from Danbury High School and attended Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio, and Bowling Green University in Bowling Green. She married Paul Seibenick in 1943. She loved to cook and was especially known for her chicken paprikash and other Hungarian dishes.

Surviving are four sons, Roger (Joan), Ronald (Linda), Jeffery and James. Grandchildren include Robert (Mary) Seibenick, Alison (Shawn) Davy, Brian (Rachael) Seibenick, Kyle (Kathryn) Seibenick and Alicia Seibenick. Also surviving are four great-grandsons.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents and three brothers, Carl Jr., Vincent and Elmer.

A memorial mass will be held on Oct. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Defiance, with a luncheon to follow.

Memorial donations may be given to St. John's Catholic Church or Southern Care Hospice in Toledo, Ohio. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.defiancefuneralhome.com. The Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home was entrusted with Mary's arrangements.
