Betty K. Patten, 49, of Defiance, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, Bryan, Ohio.

Betty was born November 20, 1962, in Bryan, to Richard and Betty (Merrill) Rademaker. Betty was employed as a manager for Ottawa Oil Company for the past 21 years, retiring in 2010 due to her illness. She was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233. Betty was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and rode her motorcycle until she was unable to do so. Betty loved being around her family, especially her two granddaughters who brought her great joy.

Surviving are her two sons, Michael (Lea) Rademaker of Wauseon and Beau Rademaker of Defiance; two granddaughters, Luna and Hailey Rademaker; one brother, Richard (Cindy) Rademaker of Bryan; three sisters, Wanda Ridgway of Bryan, Debbie Miller of Bryan and Kathy (Kent) Smith of Montpelier; and her former husband, James Patten.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Betty Kay Patten will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, with James Fenter officiating. Visitation for Betty will begin Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. and continue until the time of her service at 6 p.m.
