PAULDING -- James Orlando Gillet, age 87, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at the Gardens of Paulding in Paulding, Ohio.
He was born September 18, 1925, in Paulding County, Ohio, the son of Lawrence and Missouri (Dangler) Gillet. On June 20, 1981, he married Betty (Doster) Keck. He retired in 2001 from Braun Industries.
He is survived by four step-children, Joyce Keck of Paulding, Carolyn Jones of Latty, James Keck of Defiance, and Marsha Mericle, Huntertown, IN; a sister, Rose Mary Gillet, Van Wert; step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three sisters, Violet Thorman, Anna Gillet and infant Florence Gillet.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will follow in Hedges Cemetery, Paulding County. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, at Den Herder Funeral Home.
