CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Former Defiance resident Helen Ruth Rauch (Schweitzer), 91 of Clearwater, Florida, died peacefully on August 13, 2012.
Also formerly of Wyandotte, Michigan, she was a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing, a WWII veteran, OB Nurse in Wyandotte and Trenton, Michigan, and dedicated volunteer at Light of Christ Catholic Church in Clearwater.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
She is survived by eight children, Helen Tyrybon (John), Jane Gutz (Arthur), Mary Stark (James), John Rauch (Diane), Patricia McMahon (Michael), Francis Rauch (Cynthia), Judith Kirchner (Steve) and William Rauch (Jackie); 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held October 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 334 Elm Street, Wyandotte, Michigan.
