PAULDING -- Mary Ruth Clark, 82, Paulding, died Monday, October 1, 2012, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice, Defiance, Ohio.
She was born November 8, 1929, in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of John H. and Nora (Westendorf) Worl. On August 19, 1950, she married Edward T. Clark, who preceded her in death on July 18, 1996. She was previously employed as a sales clerk for Elder Beerman, Defiance. She was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Paulding, the Little Flower Study Club and the Red Hat Society. She was a volunteer at the Paulding County Hospital.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Lennie) Roth, Connie (Brian) Waters and Kelly (Jeff) Knodel, all of Paulding; two sons, Michael (Theresa Davis) Clark of Columbus, Ohio, and Dr. Daniel (Michelle) Clark, Hillsboro, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Adam Roth, Mari Ivan, Sara Pfost, Ann Waters, Carrie Boone, Josh, Jessica and Erin Clark, Jerrod, Alex and Emily Knodel; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Melanie Ann; two brothers, Walter and Rudy Worl; two sisters, Dorothy Worl and Bertha Holmes; and infant great grandsons, Jacob A. Ivan and Joseph B. Roth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. with a wake service at 8 p.m. Friday, October 5, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
