Services for James "Big Jim" Wachtman were held Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Jan Kaiser was the organist. Pallbearers were Josh Wachtman, Kaleb Walters, Jim Smith, Tad Dunlap, John Apple and Bill Whittaker. Honorary pallbearers were Wendell Coleman, Darell Maclish, Ray Jennings, George Carnahan, Jackie Bennett and Brittany Walters. Handling arrangements was Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.
