BRYAN -- Gary D. Vincent, 72, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan after a brief illness.
Mr. Vincent was a member of the first graduating class of Bryan High School to graduate from the new high school. He operated the Texaco service station in Bryan during the early 1970s, worked at Spangler Candy Company for several years, and then operated the Sunoco service station in Bryan in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Following this, he worked at Bard Manufacturing, retiring with 25 years of service. He had been a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233 for more than 20 years and was a member of Bryan AMVETS Post 54. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR and Mark Martin, and the Detroit Tigers and Lions, and was an accomplished woodworker.
Gary D. Vincent was born on September 24, 1939, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Charles and Ruth (Phillips) Vincent.
Survivors include one son, Tyson (Sheila) Vincent, of Bryan; one daughter, Tonja (Matt) Cliffton, of Edgerton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tiffany (Eric) Martinez, Tabatha Gaskill, Tori (Jeremy) Brown, and Derek Vincent; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Noah Martinez; and one sister, Phyllis (Duane) Jolly, of Stryker, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Norman, and Carl Vincent; and one sister, Elaine Ross.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012, from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Gary Keisling officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan.
