EDGERTON -- Monyea S. Countryman, 74, died Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on July 16, 1938, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Ernest and Lamoile (Miller) Burley. Monyea was a 1956 graduate of Hicksville High School. On January 27, 1957, she was united in marriage to Charles Countryman. She was a member of West Milford Church of Christ, Hicksville, Ohio.
Monyea is survived by her husband, Charles; four daughters, Kim (Kenny) Kimpel, Krista (Randy) Diehl, all of Hicksville, Karrie (Don) Kimpel, Kolby (Mike) Goebel, all of Edgerton; 10 grandchildren, Kyle Kimpel, Kory (fiancé Samantha Ritter) Kimpel, Eric (Ashley) Kimpel, Scott (Holly) Kimpel, Bradly (Tammy) Diehl, Brett Diehl, Craig Diehl, Adam Goebel, Toni Goebel, Abbie Goebel; a great grandson, Cooper Lashaway; three sisters, Arlette Lopshire of Payne, Ohio, Karen Stephenson of Monroeville, Indiana, Linda Garman of Hicksville; two brothers, Jerry Burley of Hamilton, Indiana and Fred Burley of Garrett, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Monyea will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with calling one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio.
