CONTINENTAL -- Marvin D. McDougle, 74, of Continental, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born November 3, 1937, in Pleasant Bend, Henry County, Ohio, to the late Glen and Clara (Boggs) McDougle. On February 21, 1976, he married Peggy Pitney, and she survives in Continental. Also surviving are a son, Stacy McDougle of Continental; and two brothers, Vern (Shirley) McDougle and Leon (Linda) McDougle, both of Defiance.

Marvin retired from General Motors, Defiance. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Continental American Legion and New Bavaria VFW.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Deacon Joe Heeter officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental, with military rites accorded by the Continental and New Bavaria American Legion posts. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service Monday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental.
