NAPOLEON -- Elizabeth A. Knepley, 87, Napoleon, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee.
Elizabeth was born August 11, 1925, in Holgate, Ohio, to Charles and Elizabeth K. (Walter) Bostelman. She married Lester V. Knepley on November 27, 1947, and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1992.
Elizabeth was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon as well as a member of the VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked at Campbell Soup, Wellington's and cleaned houses. She loved dancing. Her children would wake up every morning to the smell of coffee and music.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Kathleen E. (David M.) Orndorff and Carol (Ronald G.) DeVault; grandchildren, Christopher Pursel and Lora and Lester Orndorff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Craig Pursel; and siblings, Elsie Wilhelm, Herbert Bostelman, Laurence Bostelman, Norma Haase and Martha Wilhelm.
Friends will be received Thursday, September 13, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, 830 N. Scott Street, Napoleon, (419-592-3010), where a VFW service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance.
