FORT WAYNE -- Clifford E. Shellenbarger, 79, of Fort Wayne, died Sept. 2, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital.
He was born on July 18, 1933, in Hudson, Michigan, the son of Francis and Jennie (Raines) Shellenbarger. He retired from Johns Manville in Defiance, Ohio, after 35 years, and more recently, was employed by the American Red Cross in the maintenance department for 18 years. A Navy veteran, he was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Continental, Ohio, and attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia A.; four daughters, Donna (George) Elliott of Oakwood, Ohio, Cindy (John) Zachrich of Ayersville, Ohio, Michelle (Scott) Jones of Columbia City, Ind., and Stacie Shellenbarger, Archbold, Ohio; a son, Robert (Linda) Shellenbarger, Continental, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Cindy Price and her partner Michelle Stump, Fort Wayne; two stepsons, Jerry and James Baker, both of Fort Wayne; a son-in-law, Al Munguia, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-stepgrandchildren, seven brothers; and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Munguia; and a stepson, Michael Baker.
Services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne., Ind., with Rev. Steve Bahrt officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date in East Monroe Cemetery, Continental, Ohio.
