OAKWOOD -- Helen Darlene Yenser, 69, of Oakwood, passed away on August 20, 2012, at the Paulding County Hospital.
She was born on August 4, 1943, to Russell and Flora (Doyle) Butler in Defiance, Ohio. On January 27, 1961, she married Herald "Gene" Yenser at the Defiance Church of the Brethren in Defiance. She was a member of Defiance Church of the Brethren, and a retired nurse.
Helen is survived by her husband, Herald "Gene" Yenser of Oakwood, Ohio; daughters, Shelley (Mike) Shinners, Kris (Wayne) Noffsinger, Sonya (Steve Hammon) Yenser-Hammon, Sheila (Denny) Martin and Tamara (John) Sohn; son, Eric Yenser; brothers, Clyde Butler, Russell Butler and Merlin Butler; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nola Stoller and Norma Jean Phlipot; and a grandson, Tanner Martin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and Friday, August 24, 2012, from 10-11 a.m. at the Defiance Church of the Brethren, in Defiance, with the funeral services beginning at 11 am. Rev. Dick Nuewirth will be officiating.
