VAN WERT -- Dana L. Coppes, 53, Van Wert, Ohio, died at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born August 17, 1958, in Paulding, Ohio, the son of Richard Coppes, who is deceased, and Joan (Parker) Coppes, who survives in Oakwood, Ohio. He worked at Grief Brothers in Van Wert, and was the former owner of JD's Whine & Dine, Middle Point, Ohio. He loved to fish and play darts.
Also surviving are two sons, Christopher (Lucretia) Coppes of Defiance, Ohio, and Jeremy Chad Coppes, Paulding, Ohio; a brother, Dale (Deena) Coppes, Grover Hill, Ohio; a sister, Karen (Steve) Leatherman, Oakwood; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, with Rev. William Nirote officiating. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the funeral home.
