LAURENS, S.C. -- Donald Max Huebner, 88, formerly of 104 Knollview Drive, and beloved husband of the late Florence Roth Huebner, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Laurens County Hospital.
Born in Paulding County, Ohio, he was a son of the late Willie Max and Sylvia Holland Huebner. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Huebner retired from the Shell Oil Company, was a Mason for over 60 years, and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church.
He is survived by a son, Eddy Huebner, and wife, Rita of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his brothers and sisters.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Huebner; and a son, Max Huebner.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Atonement Lutheran Church in Laurens, conducted by Pastor Rick Inman, with entombment in Forest Lawn mausoleum with military and Masonic rites. The family will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary, Laurens, from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012.
There will be memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 5. 2012, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Briceton.
