Paul Russell Grosenbacher, 83, of Defiance, passed away on June 28, 2012, at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

He was born on February 11, 1929, to Russell and Helen (Deatrick) Grosenbacher at Defiance, Ohio. He attended Defiance High School and graduated from Sherwood Delaware High School, Sherwood, Ohio. On July 8, 1966, he married Mary Zeller of Defiance. He was a journeyman lineman at Toledo Edison Company, vice president and general manager at Bolley Motor Sales Buick-Oldsmobile Dealership, a realtor since 1973, starting with Groll Realty and McKeen Realty, and was presently working for Osborn & Associates, Defiance.

Paul was also a member of the Mason's Omega Lodge 0564, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, Zenobia Shrine, a life member of the Fish and Game Association, Elks Lodge 147, the NW Ohio Board of Realtors. He was past president of Defiance New Car Dealers Association, Kiwanis Club and Defiance Chamber of Commerce.

Paul is survived by his loving spouse of 45 years, Mary (Zeller) Grosenbacher of Defiance, Ohio; sons, Steven Paul (Pat) Grosenbacher of Defiance and Kim Edward (Sally) Grosenbacher of Defiance; daughter, Jill Susan (Bob) Grosenbacher Ross of Wellston, Mich.; sister, Arlene Grosenbacher Peebles of Galion, Ohio; his dear dog, Isabella. Paul is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan Zeller (Robert) Bonin of Rochester, Mich.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Terry Zeller (Ray) Miller of Livermore, Calif.; niece, Stephanie Bonin, niece, Lourie Miller Brehm, niece, Michelle Miller Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Grosenbacher; and mother, Helen K. Grosenbacher.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home Inc., Defiance, Ohio. Burial at Riverside Cemetery will follow the memorial service.
