Micheal J. Kiessling, 51, Defiance, passed away on February 19, 2012, at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, Defiance, Ohio.
He was born March 6, 1960, the son of Marion Pierson in Huntington, Ind., and was raised by Louis Kiessling Sr. On May 22, 1987, he married Beth Camp, and she survives. Micheal worked as a cook at Kissner's Restaurant, retiring in 2009. He also worked at Isaac Corporation. He enjoyed building models, reading comic books, his fish, and his grandchildren.
Micheal is survived by three daughters, Mary Kiessling of Defiance, Amanda (Kevin) Franz of Defiance and Victoria (Kyle) Adkins of St. Clairsville, Ohio; five grandchildren; four brothers, Louis Kiessling Jr. of Butler, Ind., John (Tina) Kiessling of Butler, Ind., James Kiessling of Butler, Ind., and Tom (Vicki) Kiessling of Auburn, Ind.; six sisters, Laura Hawn of Butler, Ind., Marianna (Teddy) Fleming of Ney, Ohio, Talassa Adkins of Edith, Ark., Paula (Lenny) McCulla of Defiance, Shirley Whitmore of Defiance and Glena Pierson of Butler, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion R. Pierson; a brother, William M. Kiessling; and a sister, Joanna Kiessling.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012, from 4-8 p.m. at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home Inc., Defiance. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Don Meyer officiating.
