NAPOLEON -- Ida Dickman, 87, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Lutheran Home of Napoleon.
She was born on February 21, 1924, in Napoleon Township, Henry County, to the late Fred H. and Helen (Hogrefe) Rickenberg. She married Leroy H. Dickman on August 29, 1942, and he passed away on December 12, 1991. Ida was a homemaker and a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Florida, Ohio, where she served as a former president of the Ladies Aid. She was a former 4-H advisor for 33 years. She was a life member of the VFW Post 1080 Auxiliary of Bellefontaine, Ohio.
Ida is survived by two daughters, Donna (Michael) White of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Helen (Jerry) Baum of Bucyrus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Julie (Todd) Wenzl, Janice (Cliff) Davis, Tim (Angie) Knapp, Dawn (Adam) Buxton, and Chad Burris; five great-grandchildren, Allison Knapp, Toshia Johnson, Maranda Johnson, Tyler Buxton, and Jessica Burris; four stepgrandchildren; and nine great-stepgrandchildren; and three sisters, Lois (Bill) Arps, Joan Nartker and Marie Follett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dickman; a granddaughter, Shiela Badenhop; a sister, Mildred Handy; and a brother, Paul Rickenberg.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, February 10, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. at the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home of Napoleon and on Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Florida, Ohio, with Rev. Lee Genter officiating. Burial will follow in the Florida Cemetery.
