MARICOPA, Ariz. -- Cheryl (Giesige) McKeehan, 48, Maricopa, and formerly of Continental, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in her home.
Cheryl was born in Defiance on April 23, 1963, the first of four daughters to Ronald (Marcia) Giesige of Sherwood and Wilma Giesige of Continental. She attended Continental High School. On April 13, 1987, (her grandmother's birthday), she married James Larry McKeehan, who survives in Maricopa, Ariz. She had moved away many years ago and had lived in California, but settled in Arizona, the place she loved.
She is survived by her parents; sisters, Laura Morrison and Arlene (Jim) Okuley, both of Continental, Nancy (Darl) McCullough of Defiance; brothers, Tony (Nanette) Giesige of Defiance and Tom (Beth) Giesige of Sherwood.
She was very fond of her nieces and nephew, Stacy, Ryan, Larissa, Brittany, Stephanie and Candace; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be missed by many. She always spoke of the memories she had with her friends from high school. She loved then dearly even though there were many miles between them.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Valois and Loretta Giesige and Bill and Polly Moran; two brothers, Ronald Jr. and Rodney; and a stepmother, Rhoda Giesige.
A memorial service for family and friends will be at a later date.
Burial will be at Redondo Beach, Calif. J. Warren Funeral Home, Casa Grande, Ariz., is handling the arrangements.
