NAPOLEON -- Lester Earl Brubaker, 92, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 31, 2012, at his home.
Born June 14, 1919, in Napoleon, he was the son of Forrest and Ora (Mengerink) Brubaker. On August 3, 1940, he married Naomi M. (Elarton) Brubaker, who survives of Napoleon.
Lester was a operator for the city of Napoleon Waste Water Plant, retiring in 1984. He was also a former agent for the Allstate Insurance Co. He served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Napoleon, the American Legion Post 265 of Wauseon and the Oddfellows of Napoleon.
Surviving also are two sons, Robert (Phyllis) Brubaker, Terry (Sharon) Brubaker, both of Napoleon; daughter-in-law, Diane Brubaker, Fayette, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger Brubaker; a brother, Richard Brubaker; and a great-granddaughter, Jessica.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Shaeffer officiating. Interment will be made at Glenwood Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Fulton County Honor Guards. Friends may call at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
