Friday, 3:16 p.m., on Ohio 15 in Defiance County's Washington Township, a vehicle driven by Cody Putnam, 22, Bryan, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Jody Miller, 43, West Unity. Miller was transported by Delaware Fire Department to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, where a condition update was unavailable. Damage was light to Putnam's vehicle and moderate to Miller's. Putnam was cited for assured clear distance.
Saturday, 3:50 p.m., on Williams County Road 13, south of County Road 12C in Pulaski Township, a vehicle driven by Faie Day, 46, Bryan, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Deborah Wann, 54, Bryan. Damage to both vehicles was light. Day was cited for assured clear distance.
Sunday, 9:35 p.m., on U.S. 24 in Henry County's Napoleon Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Delta, struck a traffic sign before leaving the scene. Damage to the vehicle was moderate. Spiess was charged with OVI and driving in marked lanes following a traffic stop later that evening in Defiance County. Charges are still pending for the crash.
Today, Joshua Weber, 19, Pearl Street, was charged with failure to comply, assault, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, possession of drug abuse instruments, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, obstructing official business and violating a protection order following a traffic stop in the 500 block of North Clinton Street. Weber was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker.
