SANDUSKY -- A water main break in the city prevented Cedar Point amusement park from opening for business today, authorities said.
On its Facebook page, the park's administration said there was a water main line to Cedar Point broken somewhere in the city early in the morning and that city repair crews were working to fix the problem.
Sandusly police confirmed that the incident occurred but released no further details.
"Without our normal water supply, and due to safety concerns, the park is unable to open today," the Facebook posting reads. "All guest tickets will be honored on future dates this season. Please visit cedarpoint.com for the latest updates."
Sandusky, the Erie County seat, is about 55 miles east of Toledo.
