TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Weather is taking a toll on New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's second inauguration.

Organizers have canceled the party that was scheduled for Tuesday night on Ellis Island. There's fear heavy snow would pose a travel hazard.

Catered food for the event will be donated to food pantries in the Jersey City area.

Christie is attending a prayer service in Newark on Tuesday morning and will take the oath of office as scheduled later in Trenton.

In prepared remarks obtained by The Associated Press, Christie will stress the need for bipartisanship and diversity.
