AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- A northeast Ohio grand jury has indicted a man on several charges including aggravated murder in the slayings of his ex-girlfriend and their 5-year-old son.
Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh on Tuesday announced the eight-count indictment against 39-year-old Daniel Tighe of Akron. A grand jury charged Tighe with aggravated murder with two death specifications, murder, gross abuse of a corpse and other charges.
Walsh's office says an aggravated murder with death specification conviction carries a death sentence.
Tighe is charged in the death of 31-year-old Wendy Ralston and their son Peyton.
Ralston's mother contacted police in August after she visited their home and discovered human remains. Tallmadge police have said the victims apparently were dead 18 days before the bodies were found.
Tighe's jail record doesn't list an attorney.
