CINCINNATI (AP) -- The trial of an Ohio woman accused of helping her teenage daughter beat up a fellow classmate at a high school is set to resume on Thursday.
Thirty-one-year-old Precious Allen has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor assault and trespassing in the Feb. 7 brawl at Withrow High School in Cincinnati.
In opening statements Wednesday, prosecutors say Allen acted like a child. Her defense attorneys say she was just protecting her daughter, who they say was being bullied by the other student.
Allen is accused of punching the other student and holding her down as her daughter hit the girl with a combination lock.
Allen and her daughter say the other girl started it and had punched Allen's daughter in the face the day before.
