Ohio college: Suspect arrested in campus stabbing

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Officials at a central Ohio community college say a man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a part-time professor on campus.

Columbus State Community College spokesman David Wayne says 45-year-old Isaac Rotich was arrested Monday evening after officials called him a person of interest in the morning stabbing of a part-time statistics professor. The professor, who was stabbed in the stomach, was taken to Grant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wayne says Rotich, who is not a student, will be charged with felonious assault. School officials say they don't know a motive yet, but believe Rotich knew the victim.

The stabbing occurred in the first-floor lobby of Davidson Hall, a general building with classes and offices.
