Violent deaths of dad, woman shake Ohio community

FORT RECOVERY, Ohio (AP) -- The deadly farmhouse shootings of a disabled man and his 47-year-old daughter have shaken their rural Ohio community.

Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey says that the victims' home was ransacked Tuesday night or early Wednesday and that they were bound with duct tape.

Authorities have no suspects, and Grey is asking neighbors to look out for one another.

Those living around the town of Fort Recovery tell The Daily Standard newspaper (http://bit.ly/rSAALV ) of Celina that they don't feel safe.

Parents have asked schools to drop their children off at neighbors' or grandparents' homes so the kids won't be home alone.

Fort Recovery is in west-central Ohio near the Indiana border.
