Brie Hagerty and Brian Brenner were married on Saturday, June 2, on the private beach of the Grande Ritz Palm in Duck, N.C., by her Uncle Jeff Hugus.
Parents of the couple are John and Bretta Hagerty and Robert and Terri Brenner, all of Defiance.
The bride selected a European Pronovias Fina gown presented by Elegant Bride in Dublin. The wedding gown had an off-white strapless neckline with a fitted ball-gown style and a unique tulle gorgeous flared skirt with lace trim on the ruffling. The bride's broach bouquet was composed of heirlooms provided by both sides of the family. The wedding colors were shades of taupe and gray.
Attending the bride as maids of honor were Rachelle Hagerty, sister of the bride, and Kristen McFarland, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Brenner, sister of the groom; Bree Pruitt, cousin of the bride; and Stephanie Dershem and Amanda Knipp, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Elan Hagerty, niece of the bride, and Elly Ward, cousin of the bride.
Serving the groom as best men were Luke Hagerty, friend of the groom and brother of the bride, and Rich Rittenour, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Jay Hornish, Todd Rusho, Robbie George and Cason Peter, all friends of the groom. The ringbearer was Quinn Huber, cousin of the groom.
The bride attended the University of Washington, Seattle, Wash., where she studied sociology. She is employed as the head volleyball coach at Defiance College.
The groom has a bachelor's degree in sports management with a minor in marketing from Defiance College. He is employed at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, Stryker.
The wedding ceremony was held on the private beach of the Grande Ritz Palm, with a view of Currituck Sound.
Following the ceremony, a reception for 100 friends and family was held at the Grande Ritz Palm.
