Riley sparks UMass past Eastern Michigan 75-61

AMHERST, Mass. -- Freddie Riley came off the bench in the first half to make five 3-pointers in a span of 3:41 to spark Massachusetts to its seventh consecutive win, 75-61 over Eastern Michigan.

The first of Riley's 3-pointers gave the Minutemen (10-3) a 13-12 lead, and they led by 10 points, 25-15, after the last of them, with 7:58 until halftime.

Chaz Williams, who came in averaging 7.3 assists, handed out nine for the Minutemen and added 14 points. Maxie Esho contributed 13 points and nine rebounds.

J.R. Sims scored 12 points and Glenn Bryant had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles (7-7).
