CINCINNATI (AP) -- A suspicious package that led to the evacuations of downtown Cincinnati police headquarters and nearby schools has been cleared, and the evacuation orders have ended.
Cincinnati police ordered the evacuations Thursday after a delivery truck driver showed up with a package he said had a bogus address.
District 1 police headquarters and schools including Taft High School were evacuated Thursday afternoon. Some homes in the area also were evacuated.
A bomb squad was called in to help investigate.
Police say the package was cleared soon after and people were allowed to return to their buildings.
