Re-enactors to gather at Blue Licks State park


CARLISLE, Ky. (AP) -- Re-enactors are gathering later this month at Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park to remember the last Revolutionary War battle fought in Kentucky.

The two-day event beginning Aug. 18 will be on the 230th anniversary of the Battle of Blue Licks, which was fought at a site near Lexington.

The battle will be held at 3 p.m. EDT on Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. 

The park will also host a variety of special programs that weekend, including live music, pottery making and living history performances.

Admission to the event is $5 for ages 13 and older.
