Addiction support group starts up again in N. Ky.

ERLANGER, Ky. (AP) -- A northern Kentucky group that supports recovering drug addicts has restarted after dissolving a few years ago, and its members are headed to Frankfort to start lobbying.

The group is the northern Kentucky chapter of People Advocating Recovery. PAR is a statewide group that works to eliminate the barriers to recovery from addition.

The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/ZupOmv ) reports members of the restarted chapter are planning to urge lawmakers to support various initiatives ranging from the voting rights of felons to making readily available a drug that can resuscitate an overdose victim.

The northern Kentucky region has recently seen an increase in heroine use and addiction.
