OTTAWA, Ohio (AP) -- The family of an Ohio man who stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted while trying to check the condition of a man in an accident has filed a lawsuit against the driver.

The State Highway Patrol charged the man involved in the January crash into a power pole with driving under the influence.

The State Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Michael Feldman of Cloverdale in northwest Ohio drove to the nearby crash site to try to help the person involved in the crash that momentarily knocked out power at Feldman's home.

Troopers say Feldman stepped on a live wire and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lima News reports (http://bit.ly/L3Zk5Y ) that Feldman's wife and his daughter also filed the lawsuit against the man who owned the car.
