COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio college basketball teams that made the final rounds of their postseason tournaments have been honored with a reception at Gov. John Kasich's (KAY'-siks) residence.
This year, Ohio became the first state to send four teams to the Sweet 16 during the NCAA men's tournament, which included Cincinnati, Ohio, Ohio State and Xavier. They were among the teams invited to the Tuesday reception, as were the men's teams from Wittenberg and Wooster. The women's teams from Ashland and Mount Union also were invited.
The governor's office says it invited teams that advanced at least to the round of 16 in their divisions. Each team except Xavier sent representatives to the reception.
Cincinnati assistant coach Darren Savino says Kasich showed the group he's been working on his jump shot.
