BROOKLYN, Ohio (AP) -- A Cracker Barrel in suburban Cleveland has reopened more than a week after a man was killed by police after fatally shooting his wife and one of their daughters, who was celebrating her birthday at the restaurant.

The restaurant in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn opened Tuesday for the first time since the April 12 shootings.

Police said Kevin Allen killed his wife, Katherina Allen, and their 10-year-old daughter Kerri with a shotgun. A second 10-year-old daughter is hospitalized in serious condition. Police shot and killed Kevin Allen just outside the restaurant.

WEWS-TV in Cleveland reports (http://bit.ly/I8XgJ5 ) that the restaurant company provided counseling for workers.

Cracker Barrel spokeswoman Julie Davis also says the restaurant was partially remodeled, partly because of the shootings and because of renovations that were already planned.
