Bond remains same for Ben-Gals cheerleader

COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A judge has declined to reinstate a higher bond for a Ben-Gals cheerleader facing a sex abuse charge involving a student when she was a high school teacher in northern Kentucky.

Sarah Jones, who is 26, also faces a charge of using electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited acts.

Her attorney had asked the judge last week to reinstate a higher bond and remove her conditions of release, including no contact with the alleged victim. He called the condition a hardship because the families are good friends.

The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/IsotmT) reports that the judge denied the request, but allowed Jones to attend church services and visit her grandmother.

Jones has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
