WILLIAMSTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- The Fenton Gift Shop will continue operations as hand-blown glassmaker Fenton Art Glass sells its assets at auction.
Gift shop President Randall Fenton says in a news release that it's a separate corporation. It will remain open seven days a week for the foreseeable future.
Fenton says the gift shop may participate in the auction because the assets' disposition could affect it.
He says the gift shop is particularly interested in what happens with the glassmaker's molds and intellectual property.
Fenton Art Glass announced last week that auctions of glass will be held April 21 and July 28 in Dexter City, Ohio. Intellectual property, including the company's name, logos and glass formulas, will be sold at a May 24 auction at its plant in Williamstown.
