Authorities look for possible victims of Ohio fire

HOLLAND, Ohio (AP) -- Firefighters are searching for possible victims in an Ohio apartment building that burned to the ground overnight.

A fire chief just outside Toledo says an unknown number of people who had been living in three of the building's 24 apartments are still unaccounted.

Springfield Township Fire Chief Barry Cousino says it's possible that the missing residents escaped after the fire broke out or were not at home last night.

It's the fourth major fire in 12 years at the complex that sits along the Ohio Turnpike.

The fire chief says the mostly-wood buildings were built in the 1970s and are poorly constructed with no firewalls.

One woman who jumped from the building's third floor was taken to a hospital. Another person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
